What We Collect

When you use Website Rescue OS, we collect:

• Account information: Your email address and a hashed (encrypted) password when you register.
• Business information: Your business name, website URL, phone number, address, and industry type that you submit with your order.
• Payment information: We do not store your card details. Payments are processed entirely by Stripe, who are PCI-DSS compliant. We only store your Stripe payment intent ID to confirm your payment.
• Generated deliverables: The audit reports and websites we generate for you are stored in our database so you can retrieve them after delivery.
• Usage data: Basic server logs (IP address, timestamps, which pages you visited) for security and debugging purposes.

How We Use It

• To generate your deliverable (audit report, fix guide, or website).
• To maintain your account and order history.
• To prevent fraud and abuse.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties except as described below.

Third Parties

• Stripe — processes your payment. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Render / hosting provider — hosts our application. Your data is stored on their servers in the United States.

We scrape the public website URL you submit in order to generate your deliverable. We only access publicly available content.

Data Retention

We retain your account and order data for as long as your account is active. Generated deliverables are stored in our database until you delete your account or request deletion. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Security

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS. We use session tokens that expire after 24 hours.

Cookies

We use a single session token stored in your browser's localStorage to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. We will respond within 30 days.

Children

This service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
